PC TWK 1: REDUCE INTERNET BANDWITH USAGE AND TARRIF/CHARGE

Welcome beloved reader, here, i will be updating you with all stufss ranging from internet tweaks, pc tweaks and tricks and so on. Lets get started. The tweak no one on our list is basically for those country that have high high internet charges. I am a Nigerian for instance and these are the kind of charge we have in all the telecom ISPs.

These are the few option we have in our country. What happens when you subscribe for the first option and you have your anti virus to update, windows update, other softwares that need updating and each may require a minimum of 15MB to complete; what do you do? seeing that after the update, there will be little or none left for you to surf. That is why i decided to treat this topic first. Theres is a tiny pieces of software called toonel that can be used to do this.

Description
Toonel exploits a tunneling technique combined with data compression, runs compressed data frames from toonel client to one of the toonel servers and then these are forwarded to the target host, reducing the size of resources that are transferred between the server and the client makes more efficient use of the user’s bandwidth. It’s 100% Java based, therefore this service can be used on any platform with an installed Java Runtime Environment, including mobile phones.

1. Set up as shown below

2. You do not have to input a proxy except if necessary.
